JOB DESCRIPTION/REPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains the Information Technologies of PWS
- Required to see to it that the system is stabilized and well back-up.
- Task to upgrade oneself towards the trend of information technologies.
- Checks the availability of all equipments with regards to its conditions and usability.
The candidate must have:
- MCP and Cisco Certifications is an advantage. Preferably Supervisor / 3-5 years & up experience specializing in IT/Computer – Network/System/Database Administrator or equivalent.
- User-desktop support during shifts, monitoring LAN/WAN connections to ensure stable internet connection
- Proficient with various software application programs·
- Experience in: back-up and disaster recovery plans;Windows/Linux Server installation/ management;TCP/IP Networking; DNS Planning, security implementation (VPN, Firewall, Ant-Virus), LAN/WAN setup, VMWare Implementation/Management
- Advanced database administration skills including backups/restores, monitoring,DB performance, running SQL scripts to monitor the system and modify tables when required.
- Knowledge of MSSQL and MySQL server administration and troubleshooting highly desirable.
- Can work under pressure and willing to provide 24×7 availability (on-call).
- Working knowledge of web application security, understanding of vulnerabilities and counter measures.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently
Education/Training:
The position holder must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
